Important Appeal Timeline Information

For SRD Grants:

  • Appeals must be lodged within 30 days of receiving the declined status
  • Appeals are processed per month (you must appeal for each month separately)
  • Appeals are handled by the Independent Tribunal for Social Assistance Appeals (ITSAA)

For Standard Grants:

  • Appeals must be submitted within 90 days of being notified that your application was unsuccessful
  • Appeals must be submitted to the Minister of Social Development at the national office
