Confirmed SASSA Grant Payment Dates for August 2026
The August 2026 dates follow SASSA’s official 2026/2027 payment schedule. This page was checked on 11 August 2026 and also includes SASSA’s special fourth payment day for beneficiaries whose grants were under review.

How To Use the August 2026 Schedule
If You Receive an Older Person’s, Disability, or Child-Related Grant
Use the first three dates above as the main August schedule. If the payment did not reflect, confirm that your grant is active and that SASSA has the correct payment and contact details.
If SASSA Selected Your Grant for Review
SASSA moved beneficiaries under review to Friday, 7 August 2026. A payment on the fourth day did not cancel the review, so complete any requested office visit or document check. Review notices are sent by SMS to the contact details on SASSA’s system.
If You Receive the SRD Grant
Do not rely on the fixed dates above. SRD R370 payments use individual pay days, which must be checked in your own SRD status result.
Important August 2026 Card Reminder
Postbank says remaining SASSA Gold Card users must switch to a Postbank Black Card by 31 August 2026. Replacement is free at selected retailers; take a valid South African ID or temporary ID. Call Postbank on 0800 5354 55 for card help.
