Revised SASSA Grant Payment Dates for November 2026

SASSA has moved the November 2026 payment dates earlier because of the local government elections on Wednesday, 4 November 2026. National Treasury approved the revised schedule. This page was checked on 28 October 2026.

November 2026 Payment Schedule

Important Note: There are no grant payments on Wednesday, 4 November (election day). Older posts that list 3, 4 and 5 November are out of date. The SRD R370 window is an estimate, so you must check your status for your exact payment date.

Why the November Dates Changed

The original 2026/2027 schedule put the November payments on 3, 4 and 5 November, which clashed with election day. After consulting stakeholders, SASSA revised the dates to keep grant payments efficient and secure, with minimal disruption during the elections. SASSA says beneficiaries will not be negatively affected by the change.

How To Use the November 2026 Schedule

If You Receive the Older Person’s Grant

Your November money is paid on Friday, 30 October, a few days earlier than usual. Your money stays in your account after the payment date, so you do not need to queue on Friday or over the weekend. Because November’s money arrives early, the gap until the next payment (scheduled for Wednesday, 2 December) is a little longer than normal, so plan your spending for five weeks rather than four.

If You Receive a Disability or Child-Related Grant

Use the Monday, 2 November and Tuesday, 3 November dates above. If the payment did not reflect, confirm that your grant is active and that SASSA has the correct payment and contact details.

If SASSA Selected Your Grant for Review

SASSA has set aside Thursday, 5 November 2026 for grants that fall within the review process. Respond to any official SMS on the number registered with SASSA, and attend your appointment if you are asked to, so your grant is not suspended. SASSA asks beneficiaries not to visit offices unless they have been asked to.

If You Receive the SRD Grant

SRD R370 does not use the fixed dates above, and the election change does not set a new SRD date. Payments are made in batches, usually in the last week of the month. Your exact pay day appears only once your November month shows Approved with a payment date in your status result.

Before You Go to the Shop or ATM

• Submit changes to your banking details or payment method before the 19th of the month to avoid delays.
• SASSA never asks for your PIN, OTP or banking password by SMS, WhatsApp or phone.
• The SRD grant is R370 per month. Posts claiming it has increased are false unless SASSA announces it.
• You can vote on 4 November and collect your grant afterwards. Your money does not disappear if you do not withdraw it on the payment day.
